My name is Siyamin Demiray (or Ziya, if you prefer). During normal times, I'm a chef at one of Adrasan's restaurants. I've loved hiking and wilderness tourism since childhood. I've completed the Lycian Way twice, but I return here again and again every year. I love nature and can see and hear every aspect of it. And, of course, I travel with style and invite you to enjoy authentic Turkish coffee on the summit of Mount Musa Dağı, Adrasan's signature landmark! Mount Musa Dağı (Musa Dağı or Mount Moses) seems impenetrable and unattainable due to its grandeur! Despite this, the climb is possible! Come with me, I'll show you the way and treat you to authentic Turkish coffee on the head of a "mammoth"!
Imagine: it is still night. The sky above Adrasan sparkles with countless stars, and the air carries the scent of the sea mixed with pine trees. At the foot of Musa Dağı, we gather in silence, switch on our headlamps, and take the very first steps into the darkness.
There is no paved trail here — only nature itself. The path is wild, untamed, and every step takes you further away from the everyday world and closer to something truly extraordinary. The only sounds are the soft whisper of the wind in the trees and the steady rhythm of your own footsteps.
Slowly, a faint glow begins to appear on the horizon. The sky transforms — deep blue fades into shades of gold and rose. We pause for a breath, and in that stillness, the Mediterranean far below begins to shimmer as if painted with light.
At the summit, silence embraces us. Spread before your eyes is the entire Adrasan bay, bathed in the glow of sunrise, with the endless sea stretching far beyond. It is not a photograph — it is a living, breathing moment that will stay in your memory forever.
Here, we make a small fire, place a pot on the flame, and brew authentic Turkish coffee right on the mountain top. The rich aroma mingles with the crisp morning air, and for a few precious minutes, the world feels perfectly simple: you, the sunrise, and a warm cup of coffee above the clouds.
The descent is lighter, brighter, filled with joy. Musa Dağı remains behind, but the energy and inspiration of this morning will walk with you long after you leave the mountain.
